Tuition and Fees
One all-inclusive fee covers the entire cost of the Vocational Nursing Program:
- Four 12-week sessions
- 576 hours of classroom instruction
- 954 hours of hands-on clinical instruction
- Uniforms (3 Sets of ASN Scrubs, plus 1 extra pant, 1 ASN Warm Up Jacket, 2 ASN Tee-Shirts)
- Clinical supplies (watch, stethoscope, pen light)
- Textbooks
- Required background check
- CPR card
- Fire Class and Card
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) Class/Card
- Physical and Lab
- ATI Virtual Tutor
- All ATI preparation exams (CARP)
- NCLEX Registration
- Initial License

*ASN offers several financial aid and scholarship programs available for those who qualify.
Strength
Nursing hands are caring hands, and they must be strong hands, as well. To qualify, candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and to stand for long periods of time, up to 12 hours.
Awareness
Even under the best conditions, nursing is challenging work. Nurses must be vigilant throughout their shift. Remaining mentally alert minimizes the risks inherent in the profession.
Risks
- Distractions caused by frequent interruptions.
- Injury from burns, equipment, and odors.
- Exposure to infectious waste and diseases including TB, hepatitis, and AIDS.
Alternate Student Policy
Due to our rigorous admission standards, the high qualifications of our applicants and the limited number of spaces, some very qualified students may not be admitted. However, we do have an Alternate Policy. For more information, consult the School Catalog.
