Home Health Aide Program
ASN’s five-day, 40-hour Home Health Aide Program prepares skilled professionals to serve as a lifeline to the elderly, disabled, chronically ill, or cognitively impaired. Through the program, students learn to assist with activities including:
- Bathing and dressing
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Medication assistance
- Transportation assistance
Criteria For Admission
The Home Health Aide Program is open to candidates, at least 18 years old, who hold a current and valid certified nurse assistant certificate. In addition, applicants must:
- Present an official transcript, high school diploma, or GED certificate (or equivalent)
- Possess a valid California ID and Social Security number
- Pass a physical exam and TB screening
- Obtain and pass a drug screening
- Complete a Livescan
