Satisfactory Academic Progress

SAP is a measure that consists of both a qualitative and a quantitative measurement. Both measurements are evaluated at the point when a student has attended the scheduled clock hours of each payment period. The qualitative measurement consists of a student's grades. The SAP policy applies to all LVN program students. Students must successfully complete 100% of required hours for each term prior to advancing to the next term.

Annenberg School of Nursing (ASN) will assess each Vocational Nursing Program Student for Satisfactory Academic Progress at the completion of each of the four academic terms of the VN Program.

In addition, ASN will comply with Title IV Regulations requiring the evaluation of SAP at the beginning of payment periods in the clock hour program, prior to disbursing Title IV Funds. Our Vocational Nursing Program is a 12 month full-time only program.

Satisfactory Academic Progress Evaluation

Satisfactory progress is evaluated when a student reaches the following number of hours: 450, 900, 1,290, 1,530

Reinstatement Appeal

A student who fails to make satisfactory academic progress and is terminated has the right to appeal [19> Appeals for reinstatement must be based on unusual or extenuating circumstances, including but not limited to death of a relative, illness, hospitalization, or injury of the student.
