Transferring Credits
Vocational Nursing Program students who began their education at a different school recognized by the U.S. Department of Education Council for Higher Education may transfer their credits to ASN.
Requirements are:
- Have taken the course within the last five years
- Send a transcript to ASN showing the class was passed with a grade of “C” or better
- Provide ASN with a course description from the school catalogue
Credits eligible for transfer include those received for:
- Accredited vocational or practical nursing courses
- Accredited registered nursing courses
- Accredited psychiatric technician courses
- Armed services nursing courses
- Certified nurse assistant courses (theory component)
- Other courses as approved by ASN (e.g., anatomy and physiology, psychology, nutrition, mental health, pharmacology, growth and development, and microbiology)
